Nabil Ansari (our Head Chef) is joining forces with culinary powerhouse, Ahana Dutt, for Swadeshi – exploring the tribal cuisines of India.

 

Part of the 2024 Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, Ahana (who hails from Kolkata) and Nabil (Mumbai) will be bringing to Melbourne two nights of exotic cuisine that dances across the Indian continent, tapping into their shared curiosity to uncover the dishes that make up the diverse country.

 

Ahana is the chef behind new Sydney restaurant, Raja, where she is billed as “one of the hottest names in contemporary Indian cooking”. You may know her, however, from Firedoor, where she rose to culinary acclaim.

 

We are proud to present to you these two exciting evenings, where two of the country’s most talented young Indian chefs meld their skills, heritage and memories.
