We are delighted to be partnering with the Melbourne International Film Festival on a dinner & film event – All We Imagine as Light.
Set in Mumbai, this romantic drama is the first Indian film to screen in competition in Cannes in 30 years, and the first Indian film from a female director (Payal Kapadia). All We Imagine as Light would go on to win a Grand Prix.
The film tells the tale of sisterhood and solidarity: three nurses and friends working at the same hospital, and their winding paths to love and fulfilment. Through their eyes, All We Imagine as Light details the life of a woman in today’s Mumbai, and touches on the challenges of Indian society and the desire of the women to be allowed to carry on as they are.
Our Mumbai-born Head Chef, Nabil, has created a special menu for this Indian-French-Netherlands and Luxembourg co-production. We hope you’ll join us for dinner followed by the film’s screening.

Sunda is housed across two levels – the lower with a view into the action of the open kitchen, and the upper with soaring ceilings and floor to ceiling glass.
